Casey Blickenstaff

Casey Blickenstaff is an award-winning multimedia journalist, who is fascinated by the power of storytelling that can be achieved through media.

When Casey is not blogging about events happening around Chicago in his free time, he works in public relations as a media specialist, drawing his experience writing and creating video content to help clients achieve their marketing and communications goals.

Casey’s approach to visual storytelling comes from shooting and editing his own news stories for television and online, and creating engaging video content for traditional, digital and social media channels.

As a former reporter and multimedia journalist for news affiliates in Michigan, Iowa, and Minnesota, Casey reported exclusive stories on a variety of subjects including healthcare, education, conservation and politics. He won an Iowa Broadcast News Association first place award in 2017 for his in depth coverage of  combating suicide among military veterans.

Casey graduated magna cum laude from Eastern Michigan University with degrees in Journalism and Electronic Media & Film. He was the recipient of the Worth H. Kramer Memorial Endowed Scholarship for students pursuing broadcast.
